Backlist Audio a Laverty Prod studio

For authors with a backlist

Your finished novels, turned into a show that earns again.

We take a backlist that has stopped selling and turn it into a launched, serialized fiction podcast — distributed everywhere, built to be monetised, run for you.

Three founding places open at half price.

One feed, published wide — live on the platforms readers already listen on.

  • Spotify
  • Apple Podcasts
  • Amazon
  • YouTube

How it works

Three steps, and you own all of it.

You send the manuscripts. We build and launch the show. You keep every right, every account, and every euro it earns.

  1. Send your backlist

Share the books you hold audio rights to. We scope the project, agree a firm quote, and pick three candidate voices for you to approve. One round, your choice.

  2. We launch the show

We serialize the book into episodes, narrate it, produce artwork and metadata, set up the feed, and distribute to Spotify, Apple, Amazon and YouTube. Ten episodes and a trailer to open.

  3. It runs and it earns

New episodes publish every week. We set up a membership for early access and bonus stories, then hand you a monthly report so you can see exactly what the show is doing.

The proof

A method with receipts, not a promise.

Real figures from one mystery-fiction podcast we produce. We keep the show anonymous on purpose — serious authors see the live dashboard on a call.

Monthly revenue · 2026 $368 → $7,059
2,400unique listeners a day
4,000listening hours a day
40,000impressions a day

On top of platform revenue, the show's membership has 422 members — 169 of them paying — adding roughly €500 a month and growing. Followers rose from 4,645 to 5,264 in a single 30-day window.

Questions

The things authors ask first.

If yours isn't here, ask it on the call.

Who owns the rights and the show?

You do, all of it. You keep 100% of your intellectual property. Our production work is done for hire, so the audio, artwork and feed become yours on payment. There is no revenue share, and every platform account is set up in your name.

Is the narration AI, and do listeners know?

Yes, narration is AI-generated, which is what makes producing a backlist affordable. We include a plain disclosure in the show and episode descriptions, and we set the platform flags where a platform asks for them. You stay responsible for compliance on your own accounts, and we make that straightforward.

Which platforms do you publish to?

Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon, and YouTube, from a single RSS feed. Publishing wide is part of the method, because it multiplies the places a new listener can find you at no extra production cost.

How long until the show is live?

A typical Launch takes about two to three weeks from approved voice to a live show with a trailer and the first episodes published. The main variables are how quickly you approve the voice and how long each platform takes to review a new feed.

What if I want changes?

Voice selection includes one approval round, where you pick from three candidates. If a rendered episode has a genuine narration error, we fix it. Rewrites of the manuscript or restyling beyond the agreed scope are quoted separately, so there are no surprises.

Can I cancel?

The monthly Run plan is cancel-anytime with 30 days' notice. You keep the show, the feed, and every episode produced up to that point. The one-off Launch fee covers the build and is not a subscription.

Who is behind this?

Backlist Audio is a studio of Laverty Prod. Ltd, an Irish company. It is run by one operator who built and runs a fiction podcast at the scale shown above, using the same pipeline your show would run on. You work directly with the person doing the work, not a sales team.
