Who we are

Backlist Audio is a service of Laverty Prod. Ltd, a company registered in Ireland (CRO 790596), Dublin. For the purposes of data-protection law, Laverty Prod. Ltd is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at hello@backlistaudio.com.

The short version

This website does not ask you for personal data and sets no cookies. If you book a call, you share your details through our scheduling provider. If you become a client, we handle the information needed to produce and publish your show. We do not sell your data, and you keep your rights over it.

Information we collect

When you browse the site

The site itself does not collect personal data or set cookies. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes standard technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, to deliver and secure the site. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests those files from Google and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.

When you book a call

Bookings are handled by our scheduling provider, Cal.com. When you book, you provide your name, email address, scheduling details, and any answer you give to our booking question about your backlist. Cal.com processes this on our behalf so we can hold the call.

When you become a client

To deliver the service we collect the information needed to do the work: your contact details; your manuscripts and related assets; whether you are buying as an individual or a business, and if a business, your legal name and VAT or tax identification number; and the platform account details required to publish your show in your name.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To answer your enquiry and take steps at your request before entering a contract (legitimate interest and pre-contract steps).
• To provide the service you have engaged us for (performance of a contract).
• To meet legal obligations, such as invoicing and tax (legal obligation).
• Where we ever rely on consent, such as marketing you opt into, you can withdraw it at any time.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, only as needed to run the service:

• Cal.com — call scheduling.
• Vercel — website hosting.
• Google Fonts — delivery of the site's fonts.
• Our email and invoicing providers — to correspond with you and issue invoices.
• Production and distribution tools — the narration, artwork and podcast-hosting services we use to produce and publish your show as part of delivering client work.

We do not sell your personal data. We only share what is necessary, and our providers are bound to protect it.

International transfers

Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the provider's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information only as long as needed to respond and follow up. We keep client records for as long as we work together and afterwards for the period required by law, including tax and accounting retention rules.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability, along with the right to withdraw consent where we rely on it. To exercise any of these, email hello@backlistaudio.com. You also have the right to complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).

Cookies

This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. If you follow a link to our booking page, that third-party service may set its own cookies, governed by its own policy.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
